Our basic philosophy of simpler controls resulted in more durability and
less maintenance as proven with the original HITEC M-2. Several design
improvements resulted in increasing production rates while offering even
higher weight control and dependability.
The hanging system introduced on the HITEC M-2 C continues to dominate
on our newest model. Changeovers are done with the touch of a button without
the necessity of sprockets or a looper horn, all within 5 minutes.
■Simple mechanical design
One look inside the main cabinet will convince you, the HITEC M-2AC was
designed to be user friendly. Independent drives for the Metering pump,
Twister, and Linking chain greatly reduce the amount of wear parts within
this machine. At the same time offering tremendous oversight of the drives
allowing quick and easy trouble shooting without expensive parts and downtime.
The HITEC M-2A C now utilizes an inverter controlled metering pump
driven by a wear free timing belt. Adapting this inverter drive allowed
removal of wear items such as a gearbox, pulleys, and v-belt. The
HITEC M-2A C offers increased reliability but also increased productivity
rates of up to 7,500 lbs./hr, depending on the product.
