(Personal Information Protection Policy)
HITEC CO., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") recognizes the protection of personal information obtained through its business activities as an important social responsibility. The Company complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other relevant laws, regulations and guidelines, and endeavors to handle and protect personal information appropriately in accordance with the policy set out below.
1. Definition of Personal Information
In this Policy, "personal information" means information relating to a living individual which can identify a specific individual by name, address, telephone number, e-mail address or other descriptions contained therein (including information that can be readily collated with other information and thereby identify a specific individual).
2. Acquisition of Personal Information
The Company may acquire personal information in the following cases.
- Enquiries submitted through our contact form
- Receipt of documents and forms relating to job applications
- Handling of contracts, business negotiations and requests for quotation with business partners
- Other information provided to the extent necessary for business purposes
The Company acquires personal information by lawful and fair means.
3. Purposes of Use of Personal Information
Personal information acquired by the Company will be used only within the scope of the following purposes.
- Responding to and handling enquiries
- Providing information, quotations and proposals regarding our products and services
- Concluding, performing and managing contracts with business partners
- Recruitment screening and personnel management after employment
- Fulfillment of obligations under laws and regulations

The Company will not use personal information beyond the scope of the purposes of use without obtaining the prior consent of the individual concerned.
4. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
The Company will not provide acquired personal information to third parties, except in the following cases.
- Where the consent of the individual concerned has been obtained
- Where required by laws and regulations
- Where it is necessary for the protection of the life, body or property of an individual and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual concerned
- Where it is necessary to cooperate with a national government agency or local public entity in performing its duties prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the consent of the individual concerned is likely to impede the performance of such duties
5. Outsourcing of Personal Information
The Company may outsource all or part of the handling of personal information to external parties to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use. In such cases, the Company selects as its contractor a business operator that maintains an appropriate standard of personal information protection, obliges the contractor to handle personal information appropriately under the outsourcing agreement, and exercises necessary and appropriate supervision.
6. Security Control of Personal Information
In order to prevent the leakage, loss or damage of the personal information it handles, and otherwise to ensure the security control of personal information, the Company implements the following measures.
- Organizational security control measures: establishment of a management system for the protection of personal information and appointment of a person responsible
- Human security control measures: provision of education and training on the protection of personal information to employees
- Physical security control measures: control of areas where personal information is handled, and management of equipment and documents under lock and key
- Technical security control measures: implementation of access control and measures to prevent unauthorized access
7. Requests for Disclosure, Correction, Deletion, etc. by the Individual
If an individual requests the disclosure, correction, addition, deletion or suspension of use of their personal information, or the suspension of its provision to third parties, the Company will verify the identity of the individual and respond within a reasonable period in accordance with laws and regulations.
Should the Company be unable to respond to a request under the provisions of laws and regulations, it will explain the reasons for this.
The requests described above, and any enquiries relating thereto, are accepted through the contact form provided on the Company's website.
8. Compliance with Laws and Standards on the Protection of Personal Information
The Company complies with laws and regulations concerning personal information (the Act on the Protection of Personal Information), guidelines established by the government and other applicable standards. The Company will also review and improve the contents of this Policy as appropriate in response to changes in laws, regulations and social conditions.
